[Terrapreta] Fwd: Open Source Publications

Michael,

The challenge is really keeping up with the individuals and groups of
individuals that are doing research or field work on different applications
of charcoal production and application. Ordering the research efforts into
some consistent set is a challenge. That's what we try to do on the website
when we have a chance to search both online and offline (or subscription)
databases. I subscribe to several scientific journals and databases that I
pay for. They are not public. We cite that research on the bibliography but
the information is owned by an organization and is not public. (Some of the
best information you have to pay for. It's called intellectual property and
won't be open source. )The conferences like the IAI are useful for gathering
this information. Certainly the publication the Johannes Lehmann is editing
for IBI will help. But it is still not clear who is doing what. So Richard's
request for reports from people who attend conferences is important.

Happy Holidays

Tom

Richard
Have you had a good look at the papers Tom has filed in this thread's
"library"?

Are you after anything in particular?
Someone on the list may have access to what you want.

Have you tried a google scholar search?

It is difficult to even monitor what directions and results research
is taking on this topic of the use of charcoal in soils. I am in a
