This raises a question: What sort of charcoal was used in making this
particular form of terrapreta?

Is it possible that the area in question was once covered in tropical
forest and the terrapreta soil is a remnant from that time, with the
landform "degenerating" to Savannha since then.

What do we know about this particular form of terrapreta?

Any pottery shards?
