Eumundi CWA Hall, Memorial Drive, Eumundi 

 

Bio-char (Amazonian Dark Earth, Terra Preta)
presentation by Dr Alfred Harris (speaker at the
recent International AgriChar Initiative). 

 

Covers; agriculture, organic, biodynamic, permaculture
and agroecology. 

 

Dr Harris will present a practical critique of
industrialised agriculture; the use of petrochemicals
in agriculture and the environmental and social costs;
global warming, sea-levels rising, urbanisation,
destruction of rural infrastructure and GM crops.

 

Dr Harris has experience in both backyard and
broadacre food growing and this presentation will
include plenty of opportunities to ask questions. 

 

Great chance to talk to an expert in this field and
hear about strategies for producing high quality
healthy food that doesn't cost the Earth or destroy
rural communities.
