[Terrapreta] Kingsford licenses Hawaii charcoal patent

Hi Ron: thanks for your message. I am just returning from a long trip and am catching up on email.

In a publication whose first author is Dr. Teppei Nunoura (now Associate Professor at the U. Tokyo) we offer considerable information on the effluent gas that we burn in a catalytic afterburner. This gas carries 30 to 40% of the energy of the biomass feed (the remaining 60 to 70% is of course captured in the charcoal). In my opinion, the best bet is to burn the off gas and use its heat to dry the incoming feed.

Let me know if you don't have a copy of Nunoura's paper.

Regards, Michael.
