Hey Sean,

Gibberellin alone will not do much for the plant with out nutrients in the
right ratio, so just like Dan Carlson's nutrient mix I've been
developing one with seaweed+amino acids and macro and micro elements. As for
the purple passion plant, it's a vine so not so much biomass. As I've
mentioned before when a product like NPK is applied to the soil the plant
typically takes in only 10% but never the less this is where the plant gets
most of the nutrient necessary for development. When feeding through the
leafs the plant can uptake 80% of the nutrient applied so it is a very
effective way to get the trace elements in. Now if you have the time, money
and resources you could just get a well balanced rock dust mix and apply it
along with your charcoal a few months before planting and this should
provide all the minerals to support the soil microbes necessary to give you
a good crop.

Today Dr Zhong informed me that he's almost got the funding (500K, Yuan) to
buy a piece of test equipment that can measure the plants respiration
and rate of photosynthesis (Lee 6400). With this instrument we will be able
to determine the true mechanism behind the effects of sound and determine if
their is any relationship to sound+nutrient and charcoal.

Regards,
Rob.
