YES, but the key point is not <20% but far far less <5%, depending on feed
qty for charring.
20% is volatile (tar) residual is extreme high, also this char will not pass
Authority permit ecotox tests (at least not in the EU).

Do I understand that the hydrophobic effect should disappear if you reduce
volatile matter below some point like 20% when you make the char?
