yes and the new oil-gas fields are many miles below ground under deep ocean
and through hot salt deposits. they are coming but this is long term and
expensive. not a magic bullet.
interestingly, as the various factors surface it feels like we are all being
driven toward a more integral approach in which many things go into the mix.
i don't know enough of the science to comment on the idea of using anaerobic
digestion to produce methane, etc. perhaps others can chime in.
