This is all armchair reasoning

If you are indeed concerned then a simple test for residual effects of  
roundup in soil / charcoal mixtures would be simple and quick. From my  
own experience I have found even a trace of clay colloid suspended in  
spray water will neutralize herbicidal properties of roundup.
