What would you do differently?
Why willow for coppice?
How do you intend to use it?

Any reason for using perlite rather than cheaper zeolite bentonite,
attapultite etc or is your soil already clayey?
Did you do Ph tests before and after char?
With what results?.
Did you have any "control" row not treated with charcoal?
Would wetting the charcoal help dust problems?
