Michael,
0.3 t C/ton CO2
Remember when I was calculating how many acres I would have to mulch in
charcoal to offset my 10 tons CO2@ per year? At 10 t/ha (4.1 t/a) I could
carpet my lot in charcoal in just the first year. So I asked Richard and
Larry if they would bury my guilt in their nursery.
Look at the Terra Preta website under the CO2 tab:

OK
Given all the variables you have just been talking about.
less need for fertiliser, greater crop, less transport etc
etc etc
Can any one who is clever at sums, tell me how much GHG is sequestered per
tonne of Charcoal?
(Lets assume it is 99% pure charcoal or pick a number between 40-99%)
This will be an important issue when carbon credits for Terra preta farming
come in (as they must)
And Guys snip. . . snip . . .snip. .
or if it all gets too much, start a fresh email.
