As I considered the concepts of Terra Preta, global warming, land and soil
degradation, and immense poverty around the globe I am convinced that
putting carbons into the soil is the right thing to do. But in contrast to
most on this list I am not concerned to do it for all sorts of reasons based
on the "fear" of global warming.

I believe a much better reason is to help give people around the globe a
hand up. This comes through soil restoration and improved nutrient density
of produce.

It is people who are important. Here is a link I just found that confirms
to me that global warming, though very popular, is not yet settled science.
