So far it looks like results have been positive for the terra preta field
and nursery trials planted between April and June of this year.

Richard Haard will be reporting on his nursery trials when laboratory
analyses are complete.

Jeff Davis reported on his potato project in PA.

Bakary Jatta reported positive results with the charcoal + nutrients trials
on poor soils in Guinea.

Sai Bhaskar Reddy Nakka is reporting better than average results so far with
his experiments on alkaline soils in India.

Cornell University appears to be continuing research in mostly tropical
countries. http://www.css.cornell.edu/faculty/lehmann/research.htm

Charcoalab and Robert Flanagan's trials have been discussed here.

It's a little difficult to tell what's actually under way at U Beyreuth, in
Brazil, at EPRIDA or a U Georgia.

The new International Biochar Initiative site announces conferences and
books. http://www.biochar-international.org/home.html

Adriana (BEST) has reported tests on Austrialian sandy soils with the New
South Wales Department of Primary Industries.

What other TP field trials are underway or in planning and where can we find
reports about them? There are US farmers on the list anxious to do trials
with strip tillage on their lower quality fields.

What's planned for the Southern Hemisphere this year? Will there be further
field trials in Western Australia?

Thanks

Tom
