I mentioned the SARE grants in my post to Sean but I didn't give their web site: http://sare.org/

Also, I notice that Whole Foods is going to spend $10 million a year on Organic agricultural. What they want may not be pure research, but on the other hand, if it'll get them in the newspaper favorably they might be willing to put money into TP. It's worth some enterprising individual or organization to approach them. Unlike the gov't they can do whatever they like.

Also, the Blooming Prairie Foundation (http://www.cooperativegrocer.coop/articles/index.php?id=656) gives out grants for sustainable Agriculture every year.

What I think is that, whatever TP has going for it in reality, it has a great story because it has potential benefits from many directions.
