jer faludi, a budding gasification and terra preta enthusiast in san
francisco, wrote an interesting summary article on why gasification
and terra preta are newly interesting.  it is on the worldchanging
front page at the moment, with some reference to the mechabolic's
attempt to make all of this into art (on top of working tech).

the worldchanging site gets lots of attention and this should be a
good pr for the general field.  the article was then forwarded to
www.boingboing.net, which is an important blog for digital tech
circles in the bay area of california and beyond.

there are several technical errors in the article you will notice.
i'll straighten him out on the errors, but in general i'm happy with
what he put together.
