Hello,

The CHARCOALAB PROJECT has officially started!
http://bionecho.org/charcoalab/

Let children from all over the world make charcoal trials and understand
today's climate issues!

With the CHARCOALAB PROJECT, an educational non-profit organization created
by a few TerraPreta adepts (in particular Naomi, Robert, Christoph, me...
let say the "Charcoalab Team"), children from all over the world can order
small "Charcoalab Kits" on the Internet. Each kit, put together and sent by
post by the Charcoalab team contains some charcoal and other required
material to grow a few plants on normal and on charcoal-amended soils.

During the 5-weeks long experiment which aims at revealing the benefits of
charcoal soil amendment, the participants are asked to perform weekly
measurements and to submit their results online on the Charcoalab website.
Besides its (limited) scientific interest, this feedback will be a good way
for us to evaluate the success of the project and to (re)define ongoing
strategies for its development.

The website is the central point of the project, with e.g. a lot of
documentation and resources for children and for adults (to be gradually
extended), a picture gallery for trials and facilities for the participants
to share their experience and to get a better idea of the overall stand of
the project.

The main goal of this project is to make people aware of today's alarming
climate issues, to explain their origins, manifestations and expected
consequences, but also to propose solutions and to trigger the motivation to
get involved and to act concretely for a better world.

The first kits are ready and will now be displayed in schools located in New
Zealand.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to promote, advertise...and financially support the
project! Talk to the teachers in your area about the Charcoalab experiment,
offer to your children some kits and/or, why not, try it out yourself! The
more people learn and talk about it, the more significant its positive
impact will be!

Dont't wait any longer! Click on the following link and start your own
Charcoalab experience!

Sincerely yours,
Christelle with the Charcoalab Team
