Dear Sean,

Thanks for the answer. Right now the raised bed I am working with is all of about 2 feet by 20
so it not a big cost. Good luck on getting your stuff out to market, but sadly if you check the map,
Its most unlikely I can be a customer from here. Below is a little more clarification with I sent to someone who answered just before you did. I note it may not have goone to the list-- .

I strickly avoid the quicklite stuff. l soak the brigettes until they break down and
pour off that water. It does have a sheen. Then a cup or so of charcoal goes
into blender with spoon of sugar, and spoon of 20/20/20, along with any fish scraps
handy. When I have charcoal from experimenting with a TLUD stove
I use that by choice. Otherwise, I cheat using Kingsford a bit. I do wonder what else is in the
brigettes including the about 1/16 inch size grains that look suspiciously like pulverised coal.
As other may remember from past messages the soils here in the Marshalls Islands start out as coral rock/sand
combined foraminifera and coraline algae detrus. The calcium from fish bones is may not be needed but what ever
is in skin, meat,or tissues will be helpful. The very basic, calcium based soils here are very different from the
tropical soils with which most people deal. I sort of think some fine grained coal might actually be good in this soil
right along with my compost and even bagged potting soil and top soil when I can get it.
What even my basil sure seems to like it.
