Hi Everyone,In Gore's TED Talk, there was a brief mention of replacing the
income tax with a carbon tax. I know (as we say) "zip" about this, *nada*!
So I googled it and the following (below) was the first item to appear.
Could be another positive thought to throw into our discourse, so here it
is...

BC brings in revenue-neutral carbon tax
February 27, 2008 10:36 PM   The revenue-neutral carbon tax: an idea whose
time has come? The British Columbia government has just introduced a carbon
tax<http://origin.www.cbc.ca/money/story/2008/02/19/bc-provincial-budget.html>,
starting at $10/tonne in July 2008 and rising to $30/tonne in 2012. All
revenues from the tax (close to $2 billion over three years) will be
returned to taxpayers in the form of income tax cuts, reducing income and
corporate taxes to the lowest levels in Canada.
