Did you ever consider that each time the cost of petro products go up, there
is a cascade effect that:

1) Drives up the cost of food ( it has to be delivered to market ).
2) Drives up the cost of most consumer goods ( they too, have to be
delivered to the stores ).
3) Drives up the cost of even safe water coming into the home ( most
water from municipal utilities is moved about by pumps that derive their
power from petro products ).
4) Drives up the cost of the mail ( and other delivery services like UPS,
Fed Ex. and the like )
5) Drives up the cost of living due to effects of 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Which in turn drives necessary wage increases, which starts the process all
over again.

I know I have. I see it time and again, in different forms.

Where does the cycle stop?

Look at the cost of living in L.A. Cali if you want a small example of what
it could be.

In order to keep things from getting to out of control, there has to be
limits, and unfortunately that's were the law's and all that other stuff
comes in.

Just keep those things in mind, and figure out how to deal with them, when
thinking about taxing petro products.
