Ethanol is only going to give you about 2/3 the energy of petrol.
Here 10% ethanol/petrol mixes are becoming common.(ethanol from sugar cane)
The ethanol avoids excise but still the price difference is a bare 3c a
lite. A net loss in mileage I would think.
