All,

What char is not bio in origin? So isnt calling it biochar like saying 'frozen tundra of lambeau', all tundra is frozen (being from wisconsin, I hear this alot and everytime it grinds on me...).

I propose we call it Agrichar because its charcoal for the soil primarily directed at agriculture.

This also designates agrichar differently than other charcoals. There may become a time when its important to define which material is for soil and which is for burning. Biochar doesnt suffice, agrichar does.

All charcoal is biological charcoal (biochar). I would like to burn some charcoal. I would like to turn charcoal into activated charcoal. I would like to bury my agricultural charcoal (agrichar) to improve the soil of my farm.

  Brian

      Biochar works just fine.

Tom

    Dear Kurt

Firstly, as per Richard's suggestion, to avoid the baggage associated with Terra Preta, I would propose to call it "Bio Preta".
