for that matter, respect each other, too. we're all volunteers and pioneers
in this essential endeavor.
so then, i haven't yet read anything that convinces me jim hansen has
recognized the role of micro-organisms in climate change. or in reversing
climate change.
yet, the carbon, oxygen and nitrogen cycles in earth's atmosphere are all
driven in major portion by microbial and plant respiration. the soil is
alive and breathes. that's how we measured biological activity in soil when
we started the organic certification system: stick a soil smple in a sealed
test tube and measure the rate of oxygen-to-CO2 conversion.
terra preta = microbial reef. carbon is just a slice of this pie. the
crust, really. personally, i like eating the filling best.
