Dr. José Colucci of the Mayaguez campus of the U Puerto Rico is leading a
mutli-organizational effort to develop a microalgae project which will produce
all kinds of valuable products. He told us last week at an IEEE seminar that
payoff is five or ten years down the road but will be big, if they are
successful.

Same points. Intense use of land with much higher volume of production per
acre than obtainable even from "energy crops". Also the algae apparently like
CO2, which is an accidental output of rum distilleries, of which we have quite
a few in PR.

Cordially. ###
