John,

Just thinking a little further on this idea, is the kinetic heat in  
the char exiting directly from the furnace utilized in your pyrolysis  
systems?

If that char is at 500 degrees, wouldn't one kilogram of hot char be  
enough to boil several liters of water without any combustion?  Or is  
that heat utilized elsewhere in the system?
