SUGAR in Soil
This is a facinating discussion.
But I wonder is using refined sugar a little like feeding our kids on a
diet of Coca Cola ?
(Sugar is sometimes said to be "pure white and deadly").
Would unrefined sugar be better? or is it too expensive?
What soil zoology is not being promoted by sugar? It would be nice to know
Are there any insect/bird problems with sugar?
(Our Native Miner birds will eat anything including sugar, Will ants and
perhaps cockroaches(?) be encouraged?)

Raised osmotic pressure is also a problem when adding too much fertiliser to
the soil.
Gardeners here kill more plants with fertiliser than with round-up :)
