[Terrapreta] Carbon emissions show sharp rise

Hi Jeff,
Yes! Some energy is wasted by generating electricity with heat engines -
including the techniques you suggest. I'm trying to identify overall process
and systems that will transfer a greater portion of the energy plants
capture from the sun into producing char for the production of terra preta.
If we burn the carbon in plant material (as when charcoal is used for fuel)
for energy production less char will be produced and less carbon will be
removed from the atmosphere. If near zero carbon dioxide emission nuclear
energy can help in the overall system - why not?
Duane

Generating electric is wastefull. The energy to build a nuclear plant is
about
what it will generate in its life time, at least that is what I've read.
BUT it is possible to make charcoal for Terra Preta every time you cook,
every
time you drive your car, drive your truck, run a field tractor and etc.
Happy New Year,
Jeff
