Terra Preta list members:

    This is to support Tom's message below (writing as one of three list coordinators, working for Tom, who we all have to protect as he lead so many great lists).  Although addressed to Sean, Tom's message is clearly one for all of us.  

    We don't want to stifle anyone's really important messages that will advance TP, but we should all try to have private responses sent off-list.  

    Also, let's try for keeping the messages short - especially in sending along extraneous material - but also in our replies.

    We should all be pleased with the way this list has grown nicely and we are getting some consensus and some new good ideas are appearing.  Still, we have to get the number down and the quality up.

    If anyone has other recommendations on how to control the traffic, please write me (off-list).

  These long winded policy discussions always drive practical people off the lists. Eventually the politics subside and the discussion gets back to practical matters. Sometimes people return to the discussion.
