There WAS that message and website somewhere about wood vinegar being
collected from a charcoal making device. This, after lots of dilution
was supposed to be a tonic for the plants and something of a cure-all
against fungi and insects. It's something I want to mess around with,
though I'm suspicious of the possible snake oil aspects of it. It might
even work with my little charcoal maker.

I think that might be a little difficult to discover, though it's not
that long ago since the pump went out of service. I know that they did
have a small lake of wood tar to clean up afterwards.
