[Terrapreta] Charcoal properties

Hi Michael and Others,

A simple question, I hope.  Since hot charcoal will reduce FeO3 (rust), is there any reason why a biomass pyrolysis "fire-tube" would need to be made of stainless steal?  Or, would simple steel pipe work as well?
